Best of the Best
There are some games on the Super Nintendo worth owning just for the awesome amount of cheesyness in them. Best of the Best are is one of them.
Best of the Best isn't the best fighting game on the Super Nintendo system. The controlls are bad with different moves assigned to each button on the controller. The game is really slow and very repetetive which gets old fast. The graphics and animations though are really fun to watch, especially the umpire. The sound effects are really nice too, the best one beeing when someone punches the other in the guts.
Best of the Best is a really crappy game, play it for the cheesyness!
(Video up soon!!)
Universal Soldier
Couldn't find a box cover of this game, so the starting screen will take it's place. Jean Claude smash!
Universal Soldier is yet another movie game that hit the Super Nintendo system in the 90's. Unlike The Hunt for Red October, this one isn't playable at all. It's a classic example of how not to make a movie liscensed game; don't make it a run and gun game. The graphics is very bland and the music is just awful. The controlls aren't good at all and the whole game just stinks.
Rent Universal Soldier the movie instead.
Jean Claude in pixel form.
The Hunt for Red October
Many movie stars have had an apperance in a Super Nintendo movie game. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Jim Carrey and even Sean Connery in The Hunt for Red October.
The Hunt for Red October is a quite nice movie franchised SNES game. This is not frequently the case among Super Nintendo (and games nowadays) games, hence Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon game. The Hunt for Red October has good controlls and is not a run and gun platformer, it's an submarine shmup, and it works! The game might not have the best graphics around, but the controlls are actually pretty well done!
If you would like submarine shaken and not stirred, check out this game!

Mega Man 7
Once again, I'm sorry for the bad update frequency. Here's Mega Man 7 in all it's pride!
Mega Man 7 is like every Mega Man game out there. I had to skip the dialogue in the beginning of the video because it was just the story beeing told, and every Mega Man fan knows how the story is beeing told. Nothing special, just killing robots and saving the world from Dr Wily. The graphics are quite crisp, although 7 never gets as good as Mega Man X.
Mega Man fans should definetly pick this robotic chapter of mayhem up.
Bustin' out the buster!
Mickey Mania
It feels like a decade since I updated this blog, I appologise for that. Haven't got the timelately, since I'm currently fixing a 200 year old house up for me and my girlfriend (video here). The video of Mickey Mania has been up on youtube for a month now and I finally found a hole in my schedule to write some notes down.
Mickey Mania is a great SNES game and was also released on the original Sony Play Station. You play, ofcourse, like Mickey Mouse and platform your way through different levels designed as old cartoon films that he has starred in, Steamboat Willy etc. The game looks beautiful and is really cleaver done. The music is nice, but nothing that special.
Disney should really consider looking back at these old games and figure out how they did such awesome games back then.
Gosh!
Brawl Brothers
I've been really bad on updating the blog and videos lately, I'm really sorry for that. I will try to find time for more videos and quicker updates soon. But now, let's focus on Brawl Brothers!
Brawl Brothers contains exactly what the name titles: lots of brawling in similiar style of Sonic Blastman and Rival Turf! The game looks quite nice and the soundtrack is listenable. There are some classic brawl genre issues though. The pace of the game is quite slow, and the enemies can be a bit tough some times.
Overall this is a decent Super Nintendo brawler worth checking out.
I'm gonna brawl you with my bro!
Alien vs. Predator
Today when you think about Alien vs Predator, you might think about the first person shooter with the same name. Back in the 90's it was a B-action movie and a brawl type SNES game!
Alien vs Predator is a decent brawler. It doesn't put out the visual candy land or the masterpiece soundtrack of Turtles in Time, but that is almost to much to ask for a Super Nintendo game. AVP does get the fighting mechanics done well, and the difficulity level isn't set to 11 like in plenty of other games of this type.
If you like Knights of the Round and Turtles in Time, this one is right up in that alley!
Blaaargh!!!?
Taz-Mania
Back when I was a kid I used to love the Warner Bros animated movies. Bugs Bunny, Pepe Le Pew and Willey Coyote was some really awesome characters.
But this game is all about Taz, the Tasmainian Devil. I guess Taz was apart of the Looney Tunes series, featuring the young Porky Pig and Bugs Bunny among all characters. The game is really nicely animated, but the gameplay is sort of shallow. It get's old quite fast.
If you like running around munching Kiwi birds, this game is for you!
Poor Kiwis...
Zool
Zool was the guy that was going to be the mascot of the Amiga 1200. It didn't last long before he spread to a bunch of other system, like the Sega Game Gear and the Super Nintendo.
Zool is an identity thief of the worst kind. He open heartly steals from Sonic, Mario and Mega Man to the point were it is laughable. The graphics is kinda good, but nowhere near Mega Man X or Super Mario World. The soundtrack is awesome though.
Zool is a mashup of all your favorite videogame stars. It's no surprise that not many have heard of him.
This is Zool, or Mario, or Sonic, or....
200th Video Teaser
There's a couple of videos left, but soon it's the 200th!
Ghoul Patrol
Zombie's Ate My Neighbours is one of my all time favorite games on the Super Nintendo, Ghoul Patrol is'nt. Let me tell you why.
For starters: Ghoul Patrol doesn't feature any zombies nor a water gun or cola granades! Come on! Those were the awesomest things about Zombie's Ate My Neighbours! The enemies in Ghoul Patrol isn't that interesting either, I mean how can flying books compare with sinister laughing axe dolls? The graphics is ok, but I really miss the old soundtrack and the cool guns. And the fat guy in the swimming pool...
Stick with Zombies Ate My Neighbours, it's got way more gaming value...
Books ain't as fun as zombies...
Ms. Pac-Man
There's been a while since I uploaded something on the blog, again. I've been really buzy with work this couple of last weeks, so I haven't had the time updating the videos.
This is Ms. Pac-Man! Released on numerous consoles through out the years, even the Super Nintendo. This is an direct port of the arcade machine, with some special features. I truly suck at Pac-Man games, but this game is actually quite fun.
If you dig the arcade classics, Ms. Pac-Man is something for you!
Munchy, munch, munch.
Exhaust Heat - Bonus Customisation Video
I finally got around to do a bonus video for you guys of the customisation mode in the excellent formula one game Exhaust Heat by SETA! This game is really cool in this way, and not many Super Nintendo game pulls this off! Serious awesomeness!
Let's get some juice in that car!
Joe & Mac - Caveman Ninja
If you've played Chuck Rock, Congo's Kaper or Super Bonk, this prehistoric game might suit you!
Joe & Mac is a really polished caveman platformer. The soundtrack, graphics and animations are really stunning and creates an awesome gaming experiance for your mind. The only real down side of the game is the slippery controllers, but after a few tries you will figure it out.
Joe & Mac is an awesome platformer, test it for yourselves!
Time to go prehistoric on some caveman ass!
The Mask
Wondering how Jim Carrey would look like in a Super Nintendo game? Well, in The Mask he looks fantastic!
The Mask is one of the best animated games on the whole SNES system! This game is right up there with Yoshi's Island and Mega Man X. The game plays smooth, though the gameplay is a bit all over the place. It's not a traditional platformer, more like a puzzly brawler.
Try The Mask! You wont regret it!
Smokin'!
